Q. What are common film elements? |

A. The various stages from shooting to projecting film yield different elements at each stage. Some common elements are:
O-neg- This is the original exposed camera negative.
Interpositive (IP)- An intermediate positive made from negative.
Internegative (IN)- A duplicate negative created from the IP.
Check print - A silent print to verify the quality of processing from a negative or IN
Optical track negative- A negative containing the audio mix (music, dialog and efx)
Answer print- A print combining image and audio.
Release print- Finished print processed for final distribution |
