Jill wanted to paint all her life. It started when she painted the piano keyboard instead of practicing her notes. Her parents decided to encourage her passion for art. Even at this young age she was attracted to the life and energy in paint. Her first subjects were horses, and they continue to be now. Jill grew up around horses, and competed in dressage and jumping in upstate NY.

Jill  was going to college majoring in art, and minoring in Physics, when she began an internship at Kodak in the telecine research and development group. Her father was one of the leading color scientists there, and she learned a lot from the team at Kodak. Jill graduated college and moved out to Los Angeles from Rochester, NY to be an assistant on one of the first digital intermediate jobs in the industry.

Jill brings her painting experience into the DI bay with every movie she colors. “I enjoy collaborating with filmmakers and helping tell the story on the big screen.”
