| Manager, Remote Services Department |
 |
Reports to Senior Vice President, Technology/Corporate Development.
Duties
Create, design, and implement EFILM’s Remotes Department. Serve as Manager for employees assigned to the department.
EFILM’s new Remotes Department is responsible for providing equipment and services that allow EFILM to offer digital laboratory services in almost any location. Examples include on-set digital camera accurate viewing environment (ColorStream), remote color-accurate Dailies viewing (eVue), remote color correction, and many others.
The EFILM Remotes Department serves as a service provider to EFILM Production (Dailies and DI), in Hollywood and at international locations. EFILM Production owns the client relationship, and provides timely updates to the Remotes Department on upcoming remote project needs.
Representative duties of this position include:
• Design and implement the department from the ground up
• Develop and document standardized procedures for equipment acquisition, staging, check-in, check-out, set-up, inventory, testing (upon return and before sending), and shipping
• Prepare similar procedures for EFILM international locations, and coordinate “hub” services in those locations in collaboration with local management
• Supervise, hire, and manage staff member performance in collaboration with EFILM’s Senior Management Team
• If and when needed, oversee third party remote service providers if needed to supplement EFILM staff during peak periods, as approved by the EFILM Senior Management Team
• Identify, purchase, test, and configure equipment
• Provide extremely high service levels, commensurate with EFILM’s reputation in the digital laboratory industry
• Oversee development of database tracking system (third party or in-house, TBD)
• Order equipment in sufficient lead time in order to meet Production’s remote services needs
• Ensure that primary client contact / relationship remains with the appropriate EFILM Production Staff Member (usually a Producer / Project Manager)
• Publish a regular lead-time document for equipment acquisition to facilitate timing of purchases based on upcoming client remote project needs
• Escalate client issues to appropriate EFILM Production Staff members and Senior Management
• Stage equipment for shipping prior to when it is needed in order to be able to offer immediate shipment
• Coordinate with other EFILM Technical Departments for support as needed, including Engineering, Software Development, Dailies Engineering, and Imaging Science
• Be prepared to travel, sometimes extensively, on short notice
• Recommend new equipment and software to Senior Management, based on Production and Client needs
• Participate in the budgeting process, including developing and managing to budgets on a regular basis
• Provide phone support for on-location jobs where an EFILM representative is not on-site
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
• 5+ yrs experience in the digital laboratory / digital intermediate business
• Prior successful on-set support experience
• Familiarity with key Imaging Science concepts, including color space, LUT’s, calibration
• Prior successful experience designing and implementing new businesses or functions
• Outstanding writing / communication skills
• Exemplary organizational / procedure development skills
• Prior supervision experience
• Ability to travel when needed
Shift:
Willingness to work a demanding and flexible schedule to meet the demands of production, which may include long hours and weekends.

| Imaging Coordinator |

Reports To The Imaging Science Supervisor
Duties:
* Provide imaging science support services for Imaging Science Projects:
* Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to Production projects
* Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to Imaging Science projects
* Measure, analyze and maintain imaging equipment
* Perform image color and quality analysis functions
* Create processing scripts for image conversion
* Develop imaging support methods and procedures
* Assist with testing new equipment for capabilities and use in imaging applications
* Occasional travel for installation, training and field support for Production projects
* Document existing policies and procedures for training and review
Qualifications: Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
* Imaging or video background
* Experience with image quality evaluation
* Experience with precision instrumentation, including calibration and minor repair
* Experience with digital display calibration
* Experience with video setup and operation
Shift:
* Primarily evening/night with some alternate shifts or weekends when required
* Above is dependent on current assignments
