EFILM has developed a completely new approach to feature film dailies based on a data centric model. This new technology insures that color timing done upstream in dailies flows accurately downstream to digital preview screenings, digital intermediate, digital cinema, home deliverables and DVD. The process will be integrated with the company's CinemaScan technology. The new process includes a number of technical breakthroughs that apply to the entire post workflow:
Preserve the full dynamic range of the original image.
EFILM's proprietary Eworks® color timing system.
Color management at each process step.
Migrate all color settings at each step of the process via metadata.
Data centric workflow.
Color accurate remote viewing.
The dedicated facility will operate under the umbrella of EFILM's extensive data centric environment in Hollywood. The system has been designed to streamline the entire post process and to deliver a higher quality product to clients in less time and with cost savings.
