Color or its absence impacts the power of images. EFILM is committed to providing the most accurate color possible, across all display platforms. EFILM's proprietary color science system, Colorstream® , precisely tracks and preserves all color information for every frame of content. Color decisions are not baked in. This data can be modified or re-applied at any step in the post-production process. Colorstream® generates the appropriate color space translation for all display devices.
The EFILM Color Space Matrix is a tool to demonstrate the fundamental color space differences between Full Gamut, Film, Digital Cinema and HD.
These illustrative models are not simulations but were created from empirical measurements by EFILM's E-Gamut software. They are based on the industry standard, CIE 1931 XYZ Model.
The Color Space Matrix can be accessed from the animating cube in the footer on each page or from the main menu under the Technical heading.
